From being National Entrepreneur Month, to Veterans Day falling on the 11th to the news media’s ongoing need for examples of how businesses are responding to the pandemic, November presented BizCom clients with numerous opportunities to showcase their brands.

Neighborly’s annual reunion went virtual this year, but the global franchise network still made a point to recognize its top performers who were then featured in leading industry media such as ACHR News, UGlass Magazine and Irrigation & Green as well as in winners’ local markets. Furthermore, with many Neighborly franchisees coming from the ranks of the military, news media such as WBAY, NBC, ABC, CW, and CBS turned to Neighborly for examples of how servicemen and servicewomen have made the transition from the military to business ownership.
From Somia Farid Silber’s advice on growing the brand’s dynamic eCommerce business, to Q&As with CEO Tariq Farid and President/COO Cheikh Mboup, Edible was featured in media ranging from Franchising World, to CBS News, to Atlanta Business Chronicle, to Thrive Global, to Authority Magazine and many others. The news media also were excited about Edible's introduction of a new Edible Music product line, featuring music from Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. and other artists.
Our new rehabilitation center client, Shoreline, was featured in an article on how to deal with stress over the holidays. For those dealing with family drama or just general stress from trying to make sure everything runs smoothly over the holidays, Shoreline executives shared some helpful advice with Total Beauty.
Adam Zeitsiff, often sought out for his thought leadership when it comes to the rapidly changing fitness industry, shared his expertise with Emily Eckstein on the Fit Food Junkies podcast. Adam shared his ideas on how the fitness industry is pivoting amidst this year’s pandemic as well as the intricacies of growing Intelivideo, the video on demand platform that is revolutionizing the industry.
Restoration 1 has reinforced its position as a go-to provider during the pandemic, and CEO Gary Findley had multiple opportunities to provide advice for other up-and-coming CEOs on how to build brands as part of media coverage for National Entrepreneur Month. In interviews with Global Franchise, WhatHappensNow and Authority Magazine, Gary detailed how he has adapted his business over the last year.
One of the nation’s largest music education franchises, School of Rock, also had a star business owner featured for Veterans Day. Mark Sheffield, who opened his School of Rock franchise in Otay Ranch, California, after retiring from the military with 22 years of service, was featured in the Star-News.
Also as part of the extensive Veterans Day coverage enjoyed by our clients, 9Round franchisee Tony Blankenship of Lincoln, California, was interviewed by the Sacramento Bee about his perseverance through the pandemic. Blankenship’s military background was highlighted in a Veterans Day feature story, through which he also shared about the impact that owning a 9Round business has had on his life.
